reviews for studentcash

"I found this book really useful. I didn't know anything about Student Employment Services before I went to University. When I started my course I visited the employment service and got myself a part-time job which helped pay for my first year. It was a weight off my mind to know that it would be fairly easy to get work.

Then in the summer holidays I was able to get work at home as well because the employment service had an agreement with the university in my home town. I think it would have taken me a long time to find out this information for myself. I also found the sections on income tax very useful, especially how to avoid paying tax!"

Richard, 2nd year student, Sheffield.

"This looks to be a very interesting publication. I'm sure it will be much used by our students."

HE Advisor, Bristol.

"At first glance this book looks very useful, especially the chapters on Government funding."

Careers Advisor, Nottingham.

"We're offering more and more advice to students who have taken out inappropriate student credit cards. Your book offers sensible advice about shopping around for low interest student credit cards. Often it amazes me that students just take the first one they're offered. Now we refer them to your book for advice about whether credit cards are the best way to borrow money in the first place because we're understaffed and just can't deal with all of them. Often once their student loan has gone they turn to credit cards. But your book shows that they can find student financial aid elsewhere. I must say your claim to help ease the workload of advice staff is true. Obviously we have to help those with more serious problems and where their education is suffering, and some of the international students coming to us, but I do think our money has been well spent. Please let us know when the next edition comes out, although we would hope to get a discount! Everybody has to watch the pennies during this credit crunch."

Angela Stevenson, Research and Welfare Officer, London.

"Thanks for offering a discount - it made the book more affordable and I think it will be really useful to me."

Jenny, 1st year student, Birmingham.

"I never would of known about this money being available. Thanks for your help."
